Eternal Rest at the Church of the Ascension
The Church of the Ascension hosts a moss-laden Memorial Glade on the eastern side of the chapel. A wooden cross made of birch-boughs stands at its center on a marble block. This quiet sanctuary is available to receive the cremains of those persons associated with the church. Many generations of pilgrims have been interred here at the end of their journey. In this place, we remember that we are dust and to dust we shall return. Our bodies are folded back into the beauty of God's creation as our souls abide in God's love. If you are interested in a funeral service or interment in the Memorial Glade, please read more in the guidelines linked below.
