Church Portals & Sacristy Upgrade
Several interrelated projects come together around the sacristy and two entryways to the church. We will replace the rotted stairwell in the back entrance and relocate it on the west side of the sacristy under the gable of the roof to protect it from further water damage. The condemned bathroom in the sacristy that was installed in the 1960s will be reconsidered, which will allow for expanded storage and fresh curation of memorials.

Sacristy Space
The condemned toilet in the sacristy has not been operable for more than three decades. We will remove the toilet and repurpose this space with a redsigned sacristy and increase storage space.
Back Stairwell
The back stairwell to the sacristy is rotting and needs to be replaced. We will relocate the new stairwell on the west side of the sacristy under the gable of the roof in order to prevent further water damage from runoff.
Professional Design
New staircases, renovated sacristies, and renovated storage and doorways require thoughtful design. Landmark Consulting, our architectural partners, will help us to conceptualize and execute these improvements.
Transforming Visitors into Pilgrims
With thoughtfully redesigned spaces in the sacristy and the back of the sanctuary, we will have an opportunity to reconsider the memorials in the church as well as to curate a historic display to allow newcomers to experience the depth of what our little sanctuary in the woods has to offer. This will be an exciting opportunity to turn those of us who visit these woods into pilgrims who might glimpse something of the kingdom of God.
